Introduction

These terms and conditions outline the agreement between Home from Home Canterbury and the parent, guardian or agent arranging services.

Services Provided

Home from Home Canterbury provides:

  • Homestay accommodation 
  • Guardianship support 
  • Short-term and emergency placements 
  • Day pupil accommodation arrangements 

All services are provided in line with safeguarding and welfare standards.

Bookings and Arrangements

All placements are agreed in advance.

Details including dates, arrangements and expectations will be confirmed prior to the start of the placement.

Fees and Payment

Fees are agreed in advance based on the level of support required.

Payment terms will be confirmed prior to placement.

Failure to meet agreed payment terms may result in services being withdrawn.

Cancellations and Changes

Notice must be provided for any changes or cancellations.

Where changes are made at short notice, availability cannot be guaranteed and additional costs may apply.

Responsibilities

Parents and guardians are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information 
  • Arranging travel where required 
  • Ensuring the student complies with expectations 

Students are expected to:

  • Follow house rules 
  • Communicate appropriately 
  • Respect the home environment 

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is central to all services.

Any concerns regarding a student’s welfare will be managed in line with safeguarding procedures and may be shared with appropriate parties.

Liability

Home from Home Canterbury cannot be held responsible for:

  • Loss or damage to personal belongings 
  • Issues arising from a student’s behaviour 
  • Circumstances outside reasonable control 

Amendments

These terms may be updated where necessary to reflect changes in services or legal requirements.
