I’m Becky Stone.​

I’ve spent my career helping people feel safe, supported, and understood, and that same care sits at the heart of everything I do.

After raising my own children and welcoming my grandson, I wanted to offer that warmth to others who are far from home. Combining my safeguarding background with lived experience, I’ve created a small, nurturing hosting service where wellbeing, trust, and good food come first.

Hosting for International Students

I offer calm, welcoming accommodation for students studying at Canterbury’s leading schools. Each host family is DBS-checked and supported to provide a safe, structured home environment where students can feel settled and cared for.

Guardianship & Pastoral Care

Our guardianship service gives parents peace of mind by ensuring direct communication between schools, families, and hosts. As a therapist and safeguarding professional, I can also offer gentle pastoral support to students who may be struggling with confidence or homesickness.

Short-Term & Holiday Stays

We provide flexible options during half-terms and school holidays. These short-term placements include good food, structure, and a family atmosphere, helping students relax and recharge before returning to school.

About Home to Home Canterbury

Home to Home Canterbury grew from a simple idea: that every young person studying away from home deserves to feel safe, cared for, and part of something real.


When I discovered how some unregistered guardianship companies were operating without proper checks, I knew I wanted to do things differently. Every host family I work with is DBS-checked and personally known to me. We follow AEGIS safeguarding standards and keep open communication with parents and schools.

I only work with a small number of students so that every placement gets the time and attention it deserves.

Each year, I welcome students from around the world who come to study in Canterbury. Some stay for a few weeks, others for several years, but all are supported with kindness and clear communication between families, schools, and hosts.

I’m proud to work closely with parents and local schools who value the same standards of safety, trust, and compassion. Every placement tells its own story of courage, growth, and belonging.
